A Better Chance Better Chance carries out its mission through their signature College Preparatory Schools Program (“CPSP”), which  annually recruits, refers and supports about 500 A Better Chance Scholars at more than 300 of the nation’s leading  boarding, day and public schools.Grade 9

East Harlem Tutorial Program Harlem Tutorial Program (EHTP) gives kids the opportunities they would have if they were born 20 blocks south.  They teach reading, math and science, provide one-to-one tutoring, prepare kids for college, help them get  accepted, and build the social skills they’ll need to succeed.Grade  9, 10  and 11
Expanded Horizons College Preparation  Services at Henry Street Settlement Horizons helps high school students negotiate the college admission process every step of the way  through SAT prep courses, individual college counseling, tutoring, regents prep and college trips.All
Fordham Step at Fordham University is a rigorous academic enrichment program designed to help prepare junior high and  high school students for licensed professions and scientific, technical and health-related careers. STEP also seeks to  increase the representation of historically underrepresented minorities and economically disadvantaged people in  these fields.All
Girls Write Now is a community of women writers dedicated to providing guidance, support, and opportunities for high school  girls to develop their creative, independent voices, and write their way to a better future. We do this work through  our Writing and Mentoring Program, which matches professional women writers with underserved high school girls  for a one- to four-year mentorship; our Digital Media Mentoring Program, in partnership with Parsons The New  School for Design and with leadership support from the MacArthur Foundation-funded Hive Digital Learning Fund in  the New York Community Trust, which matches digital media professionals and New School graduate mentors with  underserved high school girls for a one- to four-year mentorship; and our College Bound Program, which helps all  New York City girls successfully navigate the college essay and application process through resume and college essay  writing workshops and a full day informational seminar.All
Global Kids Inc. Kids, Inc. is an educational organization for global learning and youth development – works to ensure that  urban youth have the knowledge, skills, experiences and values they need to succeed in school, participate  effectively in the democratic process, and achieve leadership in their communities and on the global stage. Young  people examine global issues, make local connections, and create change through peer education, social action,  digital media, and service-learning, while receiving intensive support from GK staff.All
