The Intrepid Museum’s Youth Summit Aspires to:

• Provide an environment that promotes conversation, development and engagement for New York City youth to address the issues that matter to them.
• Increase confidence in teens and youth that they have the power to make change in their communities.
• Engage cultural institutions, academia and industry leaders in conversation and support for teens and youth.

The 2021 Virtual Youth Summit will be held June 12th.

Special Saturday Workshop Series for 9th Graders!

WHAT: Virtual Saturdays with Hook & Eye Theater
WHEN: March 6, 13, 20, and 27 from 10am-12pm
WHY: PPAS 9th Graders have been working with this creative and energetic program for 8 years and it ROCKS!
WHO: first come, first serve–the first 25 9th grade students to show interest in committing to all 4 workshop dates will receive a link to join a special Google Classroom

Join us for some virtual theater-making!  In our four workshops you’ll be exploring theater-making techniques on your own, in pairs and as an ensemble.

Over the course of four sessions we’ll explore how to create imaginative characters and scenes, how to collaborate with other writers and performers over Zoom, and together we will build an entirely new and original piece of theater, which can be recorded and shared.

Teens Write Comedy for Television with award winning comedic playwright and television writer, Sarah Congress. Everyone loves a good romcom, but it takes two to tango! Tune into Sarah’s masterclass for teens on developing comedic characters, and start this heart month off with a bang. Think about your favorite comedic character and come ready with a pen/pencil to start!

College Fairs Online is still hosting our biggest virtual college fair yet for your region with around 100 colleges. Students can research and connect with great affordable colleges and universities for free without having to leave home or school, this is the perfect resource for the virtual learning environment we find ourselves in now.  Students can chat with admissions counselors to ask questions about academics, campus life, financial aid, scholarships and more! Have your students register now so they don’t miss it! Each student is also entered into a drawing for a $300 scholarship each time they ask a question on a virtual booth. They can go online now to www.collegefairsonline.com to register for the US Northeast region fair scheduled for the week of December 14th-19th. We will send reminder emails to the students when the fair starts.
